Since it is Thursday, in keeping with social media convention, we're going to go back in time for a bit...way back, all the way to 1939. The lovely people of the @BMW twitter team were kind enough to provide us with this little reminder that, when it comes to style, BMW has had it since the beginning. Check out this 327/28 Coupe.

In the 1930s, BMW vehicles were manufactured in Eisenach. During World War II, the town fell into Soviet control. The plant remained active, but the Soviets refused to return the factory to BMW. For this reason, the BMW 327 was eventually rebranded as the EMW (Eisenacher Motoren Werke) 327, and the blue and white color scheme was changed to red and white.

The modern-day successor to the 80 horsepower 327/28, is the 2016 6 Series. Evolution has been good to the tourer, as it is now equipped with a robust 445-horsepower engine. With 480 pound-feet of torque, the 6-series is capable of accelerating from 0-60 in a scant 4.3 seconds. If you want to know more, this luxurious performer, come visit us in Lake Bluff. It would be our pleasure to assist you.
