    As part of its commitment to Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls, BMW has announced BMW Drive for Team USA, a national drive program that invites consumers to show their support for Team USA.

    • BMW Drive for Team USA events will be held at 315 BMW retailers nationwide between April 17 and August 25, 2012.
    • For every participant who test drives a vehicle at an event, BMW of North America will donate $10.00 to Team USA.
    • Events will also include the opportunity to test drive five different BMW 3 Series models and get behind the wheel of competitive vehicles.
    • At the event, participants will have the opportunity to meet Olympic and Paralympic athletes, hopefuls and coaches.

     

    In the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games, BMW has applied its resources and technologies to help advance the training and performance goals of the Olympic and Paralympic athletes of Team USA.

    • BMW recently completed a velocity measurement training tool for USA Track & Field.
    • The software technology being used is similar to those currently being explored by BMW engineers in the research of driver assistance systems to improve automotive safety in future generations of BMW vehicles.
